It’s time to head up the beach from Miami a bit to Fort Lauderdale and check out the brunch cocktails – including the Thames Lemonade – at Steak 954, where they have more than your the typical champagne drinks.
A thirsty-quenching blend of gin, Dolin Genepy, fresh basil, lemon, blackberry and bitters, the Thames Lemonade is sure to be your go-t0 day drink in no time.
“The Thames Lemonade came from just wanting a super-drinkable gin cocktail that wasn’t a G&T,” explains Beverage Manager Simeon Humphreys. “Fords Gin is outstanding so we combined it with herbal notes from Dolin Genepy and fresh basil, then finish it with lemon, whole blackberries and some bitters. It’s visually arresting but, more than anything, it goes down real easy.”
