Alpine Hot Chocolate at Conservatory

It’s holiday cocktail time at Conservatory West Hollywood  and these three festive cocktails are definitely worth a visit under the twinkle lights and beautiful surrounding greenery. Created by Bar Manager Vinnie Meza created the Alpine Hot Chocolate. Served warm and toasty, this cozy cocktail is made with house-made hot chocolate, green chartreuse and Clear Creek Cherry Brandy.

The Leg Lamp at Salt

The Marina Del Rey Hotel’s SALT restaurant is getting into the holiday spirit with its Merry Time On The Marina festive cocktail menu. A boozy homage on the classic 1983 movie, “A Christmas Story,” The Leg Lamp is made with tequila, white cranberry rosemary syrup, Khalani Coconut Liqueur, Cointreau and lemon juice. Grab a seat on the marina side patio and sip the cheeky cocktail while watching all the boats illuminated with lights float by.

Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. With kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best party you’ve ever been to, Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest Grinch in the holiday spirit. This year, there are more than 110 Miracle locations popping up worldwide including Miracle on Melrose which has taken over Melrose Umbrella Company. Of the many festive AF cocktails, the Koala-La La La, La La La La is made with gin, pine tea cordial, grapefruit oleo and eucalyptus bitters and comes with a little furry buddy attached.

Snowday in LA is a seasonal holiday pop-up bar located in the back bar of Sibling Rival within the Hoxton, Downtown LA. There are delightfully over-the-top decorations, cozy blankets, snow, and, of course, holiday cocktails including the Rum Rum Rudolph made with a brown butter rum lend (Plantation Pineapple, Plantation Original Dark, Hamilton Overproof, Hamilton Pimento Dram, Velvet Falernum – all washed in brown butter), Lustau Palo Cortado Sherry, Sarsaparilla, apple, lemon and angostura bitters.

If you are in a Mele Kalikimaka mood this season, head to Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar where you’ll the hotel’s main bar, Double Take, has turned into a festive Double Tiki pop-up through Jan. 1. The tropical takeover comes complete with a large dancing Santa in a Hawaiian shirt, an upside-down Christmas tree, Hawaiian tacky-tee contests and plenty of tiki cocktails. Inspired by the film “Planes, Trains & Automobiles,” the Those Aren’t Pillows cocktail is made with Plantation Pineapple Rum, Maraschino liqueur, lime juice, Koval Carroway liqueur, angostura bitters and Luxardo cherry.

Santa Baby is an Instagram worthy Christmas themed pop-up bar replicating a cozy and festive ski lodge. The immersive experience, which in a 2,000 sq ft in Silverlake, includes wall to wall festivities such as festive photo opportunities, Christmas games, holiday music and, of course, Christmas themed cocktails. Try the Son of a Nutcracker made with vodka, pomegranate juice, ginger beer and pomegranate seeds, served in a cute Santa boot.

Franco’s Baba Rum Flambe at Gilles

The Franco’s Baba Rum Flambé at Montage Beverly Hills’ latest pop-up restaurant, Gilles @ Montage Beverly Hills, is for those who can’t decide whether to end the night with a cocktail or a dessert. The Franco’s Baba Rum Flambé is a flaming dessert soaked in hot Myers Rum or Sailor Jerry syrup, infused with vanilla pods, served tableside. The Baba portion of the dessert is a small yeast cake commonly served in Paris and the rum is just that – vanilla-infused rum syrup heated, lit on fire and poured directly onto the cake. To present the dish, a Baba Rum cart is wheeled out tableside and Chef heats a small copper pot of rum and then ignites the liquid before pouring it over the cake. Once the cake has cooled off, Chef covers the dish in vanilla cream. Some guests might want to skip their nightcap and eat the theatrical (not to mention alcoholic) Baba Rum instead.

This season, vegan hotspot Gracias Madre is serving a Clarified Sparkling Margarita, a twist to the classic champagne toast in the spirit of New Year’s Eve. The creative carbonated cocktail is made with Siete Leguas Blanco Tequila, clarified lime juice (clarified in a centrifuge), agave syrup, purified water, orange bitters and saline solution, served in a champagne flute with invisible orange salt painted on the rim.
