Since opening, the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge has built quite the reputation as the place to be thanks to it’s skyline views and buzzy vibe. Now, another reason to head to this Dumbo hotel: the Osprey cocktail at the similarly named bar inside.
Made with housemade pea flower-infused vodka and citrus stock, The Osprey also features Nopal (aka cactus) water and a new passionfruit liqueur called Chinola. (It’s also really stunning and IG-ready)
“Chinola is a passionfruit liqueur made from real passionfruit,” explains The Osprey at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge Beverage Director David McGovern. “[The Osprey cocktail is] bright and fresh but with complex spice and floral notes.”
The Osprey recipe and preparation
- .5oz Fresh squeezed Lemon juice
- .25oz Simple syrup
- .5oz Lime Stock
- 1oz Nopal Water (cactus water)
- .5oz Chinola Passionfruit liqueur
- 2oz Housemade Pea Flower infused Vodka
Shake. Double Strain. Serve up in a Burgundy Glass with a lavender flower garnish.
- Lime Stock: (made ahead of time, kept in the fridge)
- 1 Quart lime juice
- 1 Vanilla Bean
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 1 cup of demerara sugar
Stir until dissolved. Let sit for 24 hours then strain.
