If a ‘gram wasn’t posted to Insta, did it really happen? If you’re a millennial, the answer is nope. When you sit back and think of history though, you ask: how do we know that [event] even happened? For instance, the founding fathers drank 76 punch bowls (according to History.com) at the freedom celebration following the signing of The Declaration of Independence. *thinking face emoji*
Well, someone lived that moment to tell the tale, because the American tradition of punch bowls goes on as we continue to pour from the party staple today.
At the legendary Rose Club at The Plaza Hotel, guests can order from four, recently-launched punch bowl cocktails ideated by bartender, Laura Royer. Made for sharing, the punch bowls cost $300 each and are ideal for groups of six-to-eight guests – That’s under $40 per person and lots of drink.
There is live jazz music (Wednesday evenings only) and lighter gourmet fare in the plush setting too.
Choose your favorite, and sip amongst good company to celebrate any occasion.
