The Wiz Fizz at Seamstress

Seamstress is not only one of the best bars on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, it is one of the best bars period! This sexy dimly lit cocktail bar has grown into a beloved thirsty staple led by the lovely and talented Pamela Wiznitzer. So what does one order when visiting Seamstress?  Well, her signature cocktail, the Wiz Fizz of course.

Pamela says of the cocktail, “This drink is my truly narcissistic love child. I opted to make a cocktail with everything I love in one glass. I stared with aviation gin because of the sarsaparilla botanical they use and opted to make a Ramos style cocktail. Anyone who knows me knows my love for cream cocktails! I also love Amaro so I added cynar to compliment the gin. Some lemon and vanilla and then instead of soda water, I lengthen the drink with root beer to amplify the Aviation gin and give the drink a nostalgic flavor of a root beer float. I love this cocktail!”

This is a cocktail that you need to know, so try to make one at home or better yet, go visit Seamstress to enjoy one.
