Bartenders have been polled by the fine folks at Drinks International and both Torres Brandy and El Gobernador Pisco were hailed as the favorite products preferred by bartenders in 2020. In their annual brand report, the UK based publication, Drinks International, surveyed more than a hundred bars considered among the best in the world.
Torres Brandy and El Gobernador Pisco both sweeped their respective categories for ‘Top Trending Brands’ and ‘Bestselling Brands’ lists.
For 2020, the British media outlet has decided to modify the brandy category to separate cognac into its own grouping. This change allowed Torres Brandy to rise to the top after making the prestigious list for the last seven years and climbing positions year after year.
In 2019, it reached fifth place in the former category of brandy and cognac. This brandy from the Penedès de Juan Torres Master Distillers, the distillation division of Familia Torres, tops the ranking of the brandies.
In the pisco category, El Gobernador, Chilean pisco by Juan Torres Master Distillers, ranked the best among the brands that are trending as the bartender favorite and best selling.
In the 2020 report of Drinks International, 109 bars from 38 different countries have participated. 34% of establishments are from Europe, 25% from Asia and 16% from North America. Participating establishments are winners or nominees in world competitions such as “The World’s Best 50 Bars” and “Tales of the Cocktail Spirits Awards”, which makes this ranking an excellent indicator of the consumption trends of the best bars in the world and a benchmark in the sector.
