Trippy Brunch at Three Restaurant in Miami’s Wynwood

The highly designed Three Restaurant, in Miami’s Wynwood Art District, is only a third of the three-partnered Southbound Hospitality group’s endeavors.  James Beard Award-winning Chef Norman Van Aken and his partners have also opened a rooftop restaurant lounge and, soon, a cooking school alongside their flagship restaurant in Wynwood Arcade, an open-air shopping plaza.

The attention the legendary Floridian chef lavished on this brunch menu at Three, and overseen by Chef-de-Cuisine Miguel Massens, was also given to the bar program.  To best experience them both, on a beautiful day, grab a table outside where you can add people-watching to the mix.

Crown Dove

This smoky fruit punch will hit you hard with Mezcal, Raspberries, Grapefruit Bitters, Lime, and Rose Nectar served on the rocks in a crystal-cut goblet garnished with Lemon Peel and Edible Flower Petals.

Pairs nicely with Roasted Oysters topped with Sriracha Hollandaise Sauce.

Late Bloomer

Simply ambrosia, this delish cocktail is mixed with Vodka, Elderflower, Apple, Lemon, and Basil served on the rocks and garnished with thin Apple Slices and fresh Mint. Pair this with a second round.

Matter of Habit

As good as it looks; this fruity and frothy drink is shaken with Vodka, Raspberries, Mint, Coconut, Lime served over crushed ice in a tall glass garnished with Edible Flower Petal.

Silver Derby

This elevated Mint Julep deserves gold, made with Bourbon, Chocolate Bitters, Lemon, Mint, and Simple Syrup served over crushed ice in a silver cup.

Pairs superbly with ‘My Down Island’ French Toast layered with grilled whole Foie Gras and dressed with Passionfruit Caramel.

Ay Maria

A hardcore Bloody Mary mixed with Tequila, Lime, and Housemade Bloody Mary Mix served on the rocks in a tall glass rimmed with Old Bay Spice and three speared Olives.

Pairs excelentemente with Duck Confit Hash -with duck fat potatoes, arugula and Poblano peppers topped with a sunny side up egg.
