Tropical Twilight Gloom at Chicago’s Lost Lake

As we are in dead of winter, a little tiki action always brightens our spirits during the February gloom.  We head to Lost Lake in Chicago where they serve up some of the best tropical cocktail vibes in the country to get up close and personal with the Tropical Twilight Gloom.

Created by Lost Lake’s Co-Owner, Shelby Allison, and Erin Hayes, former bar manager.  Shelby gives us the scoop on the cocktail, “This cocktail was created for a spooky tiki pop-up we called Tropigoth. The name comes from an early review of the original 1933 Don the Beachcomber Cafe, in which the writer says the bar is imbued with tropical twilight gloom. This cocktail is simultaneously bright and moody, herbaceous and witchy, fun to make and a treat to drink. We thought it would be a wonderful addition to our latest menu.”
