South of Fifth is the place to be for boozy weekend brunch now that Upland Miami – one of the latest restaurants opened by the 2017 James Beard winner for Outstanding Restaurateur, Stephen Starr – has joined the neighborhood. This second outpost of the popular NYC restaurant brings celebrated Chef Justin Smillie’s signature California-inspired cuisine to Miami Beach’s chic South of Fifth Neighborhood.
The rich green and gold interior of the SoFi hotspot was designed by Roman and Williams, a Manhattan-based design firm praised for its ‘slow design’ with an emphasis on craft and substance. Craft and substance is definitely showcased at swanky Upland Miami’s bottomless brunch.

Drunken Snapper
An intoxicating crudo of thinly sliced snapper heavily drizzled in tequila and Key lime juice, and spiced up with cilantro and espelette, a red chili pepper from France’s Basque region.
Bloody Mary
This classic spicy tomato cocktail, made with smooth Wodka vodka from Poland, is accompanied by an Upland Pickle Board.
Make-Your-Own Mimosa
Fill your champagne flute with the desired blend of French Blanc de Blancs champagne and local Florida citrus juice, freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit.
Rosé All Day
Sip endlessly on crispy and fruity Les Vignobles Gueissard rosé from the Coté de Provence
Brunch favorites to pair with the bottomless booze include Chilaquiles with Creekstone Farms skirt steak, farm egg, Cotija cheese and tortilla; and the Upland Cheeseburger with grass-fed beef, American cheese, peppadews, avocado and fries. Finish, or start, with a cup of La Colombe coffee or Honey Bear, a Rooibos tea with strong vanilla and caramel notes and flavor, from Brew Lab.
