It’s no secret that over the past few years, Downtown Los Angeles has become the go-to spot for a night out. Here are some of our top picks for where to drink in DTLA.
Where To Drink In DTLA
Library Bar:
Locals may not initially think of Library Bar when you ask them where to go drink in DTLA, but this spot is worthy. Outside of their solid selection of choices for happy hour, they also have tasty snacks like pork belly skewers or ceviche. The atmosphere is dark and very much like a library with books stacked around the back. Perfect spot for a nice evening out.

Seven Grand:
Go-to happy hour spot! They’ve got you for $5 cocktails and $4 beers daily till 8:00pm. Tucked upstairs on 7th street, Seven Grand has a dark and mystery vibe that somehow makes you feel at home. There’s a sweet little patio on the side if you wanted some fresh air or you can play a round of pool with some friends. Whatever you choose to do here will be a good choice.

The Rooftop at The Standard:
If you’re looking for a beautiful view of DTLA, look no further. The Standard Hotel’s rooftop bar is one of downtown’s most popular spots for a reason. Even though it’s a somewhat fancy hotel in downtown, you won’t feel like you’re out of place even if you’re not staying at the hotel. With the rooftop pool right next to you, The Rooftop at The Standard is hard to pass up.

Angel City Brewery:
If you’re not too into cocktails and hard liquor, Angel City Brewery is the place for you. Or if you just really enjoy a refreshing beer, it’s also the place for you. Found in the middle of DTLA, Angel City only serves beer – and they a handful of selections from Pilsners, Ale’s to IPAs. It’s an open space environment where you and friends can enjoy a chill night. They even provide board games and the activity cornhole!

Perch:
If you wanted more rooftop spots (because who doesn’t?), then you have to swing by Perch. Technically it’s a French restaurant/lounge, but a lot of people like to grab cocktails and tapas when they’re peeping at downtown Los Angeles’ skyline too. If your cocktails don’t keep you warm, don’t worry – you’ll also be surrounded by fireplaces and fire pits.
