Cider + Cheese, Champagne Week and Pizza

Wednesday, November 11th:

Cider Week continues with the Northeast Cider and cheese pairing event at Taproom No. 307. Featuring a flight of craft ciders from New York, Vermont and Massachusetts, each will be paired with a selection from Murray’s Cheese, hailing from each respective state. The $35 menu will feature Naked Flock Original cider (NY) paired with Alpha Tolman, Downeast Winter Blend cider (Mass.) paired with Fourme D’ Ambert and Eden Rose cider (Vermont) paired with Quadrello.

Thursday, November 12th:

The Mystery Bottle Share is going down at KelSo Taproom starting at 5 p.m., where guests will be tested on their knowledge of the brews by rewarding drinkers who can identify the style (lager, ale, etc.) of some mystery beers being poured.

All Week Long

Champagne Week hits NYC, and from now until Saturday, make sure to hit some of the events, including a Friday evening bubbly cruise around Manhattan and a discussion about Dom Perignon with Champagne expert Alysa Mizia at Bottlerocket Wine and Spirits. A full schedule of events and ticket options can be viewed here.

Meanwhile, the Roberta’s Kitchen Takeover Pop Up is at Humboltd and Jackson, where square pan pizzas like the Cheesus Christ can be enjoyed along with beer, wine and cocktails. Walk ins welcome. Through November 15th.

Brunch Alert

Babbalucci is now serving boozy brunch, with specials including a Prosecco “Bottles & Brunch” served with cordials and fresh fruit purees or “Bottomless Brunch for $15 per person, including unlimited sangria or mimosas until 4 p.m.

2 Duck Goose also gets in on the brunch action, with Drinks and Dumplings featuring Cantonese-inspired fare and free dumplings with every drink ordered. The more you eat, the more you can drink!
