NYC Burger Week has officially begun and will continue all week, with events at different venues all around the city including the Willy Wonka-themed dinner with cocktails at Joe’s Bar (Monday, May 2nd), Bourbon and Burger night at The Ainsworth Midtown (Wednesday, May 4th) and The Kentucky Derby of Burgers at Brother Jimmy’s (Saturday, May 7th), featuring four off-menu selections served with a craft beer or a Woodford Reserve cocktail. Lobster Bake at Hotel Chantelle

Hotel Chantelle’s popular “Maine Squeeze” weekly Wednesday Rooftop Lobster Bake is back, featuring whole lobsters, steamed little neck clams and corn on the cob along with a complimentary beer or specialty cocktail (for those who purchase tickets in advance). For 34.92 per person, the event runs from 5-10 p.m. each week along with reggae music and good eats and drinks. More info and tickets available here.

Sunday Funday Alert

There are some new brunch parties in town – the “Suite Sunday Brunch” at Penthouse808 at Ravel Hotel and the Sunday Gospel Brunch at Bell, Book and Candle. The “Suite Sunday Brunch” features live jazz and panoramic views from the Long Island City hangout, along with dishes like Lobster Rolls and Stuffed French Toast along with $4 Bloody Marys and Mimosas and White Sangria Punch Bowls from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. The “Sunday Gospel Brunch” at the West Village farm to rooftop restaurant launches this Sunday – just in time for Mother’s Day – and features local, organic and sustainable dishes with a Southern flair paired with delicious cocktails made with ingredients from the eatery’s aeroponic rooftop garden.
