Old Forester
Old Forester Perfect Old Fashioned
“When it comes to an Old Fashioned I want to amplify the natural flavors of the bourbon, not mask them,” says James Joseph, Old Forester Brand Ambassador. “Old Forester 86 has an incredible blend of sweet vanilla notes along with subtle hints of baking spices and citrus oils. After adding the bitters, simple syrup, and expressing the oils of an orange and lemon, the natural flavors of the bourbon are magnified creating a deliciously balanced perfect Old Fashioned.”

- 2oz Old Forester 86p or 100p Bourbon
- Orange peel
- Lemon Peel
For a more classic take, try the Old Forester Original Old Fashioned:

- 2 to 3 dashes of Bitters
- ¼ to ½ oz of Simple Syrup
Garnish with lemon and orange peel
*Do not shake only stir and pour over ice (large cube preferred)
Woodford Reserve
Woodford Reserve Manhattan
“The high rye content of Woodford Reserve Bourbon (18%) makes it the perfect bourbon whiskey for a Manhattan,” explains Michael Toscano, New York Brand Ambassador for Woodford Reserve. “While the commonly found sweet notes of bourbon whiskey are present, the spice of rye shines through and gives you just enough bite to balance with the sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. This unique balance of sweet and spice provides you with the familiar flavors found in a traditional Manhattan cocktail while also delivering a variation on this classic cocktail you were never expecting, but so happy to have found.”
- 2 parts Woodford Reserve
- ¾ part Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica Formula)
- 3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Gentleman Jack
JD GJ Whiskey Sour
“The smoothness in the Gentleman Jack together with the vanilla and caramel flavors makes it perfect for the classic cocktail Whiskey Sour,” explains Madeleine Rapp, New York Jack Daniel’s Brand Ambassador. “The high corn content (80%) together with the double charcoal filtration makes it a perfect match with the fresh lemon juice and the simple syrup. Adding eggwhite will add the extra silky texture that complements the smoothness of the whiskey perfectly. Garnish with Angostura Bitters or lemon oils to get the aroma to complete the flavor.”

- 1 ½ Parts Lemon Juice
- 1 Part Simple Syrup
- Dash of Bitters

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel
“The carefully selected barrels of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel makes a perfect Old Fashioned with its chocolate, dried fruits and vanilla notes that perfectly matches with the Angostura Bitters and the sugar,” says Rapp. “Adding the oils of a lemon or an orange peel complements the flavors in the Single Barrel and brings the best of the Old Fashioned with a long finish. Serving the drink over a big ice cube gives you the full experience of a Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Old Fashioned.”
