Calling all creative bartenders in the U.S. with a passion for sustainability to enter the More Taste, Less Waste challenge powered by Mount Gay Rum. By sharing their talented flair for sustainability through creation of an original cocktail with Mount Gay Rum, six (6) bartenders from around the country will win a trip to Mount Gay Rum’s home, the island of Barbados, where they will compete for the title of U.S. National Champion. The entry period for the More Taste, Less Waste challenge opens on January 3rd and goes through 31st at 11:59PM ET. So let’s do this! In celebration of Mount Gay’s partnership with 4Ocean, a sustainability organization striving to end the ocean plastic crisis, Thirsty is hosting a cocktail competition that empowers bartenders to “Think Sustainably, Drink Sustainably”. We are looking for not only your most creative and delicious cocktail, but a cocktail that can be implemented to showcase sustainable practices in bars.
