Le Zoo is nestled in between luxury retailers at Bal Harbour Shops, an open-air shopping mall in Bal Harbour, a super chic suburb of Miami Beach. Relaxing with a glass of wine at this stylish French bistro can make you feel like you are in a café in Paris, -or, if on the lush palm tree-covered patio, St. Tropez.
Hang out at the bar, in the salon, or a booth on the patio, and chill with your favorite varietal. We recommend these tasty wines, cocktails, and bites.
Wines and Cocktails at Le Zoo Bal Harbour
Chapoutier 2016 Belleruche Rosé by the Glass
From Côtes du Rhône wine region in Southern France, this pale salmon rosé is dry and incredibly easy to drink. Made with roughly 75% Grenache, this blend has a delicate strawberry aroma, and is crisp and fruity on the palate; followed by a mineral finish.
Aperol Spritz
Aperol, prosecco, soda, and orange
Either choice will complement intense seafood, such as Le Zoo’s scrumptious Salmon Tartare –with lemon, shallots, and chives.
Chapoutier 2016 Belleruche Rouge by the Bottle
We found where there’s one highly drinkable Belleruche, there must be another. Also from the Rhone region, this deep garnet-colored and full-bodied red is blended with Shiraz, Syrah and Grenache. On the palate, it is plummy with white pepper notes, followed by silky tannins and a soft and juicy finish.
Bière Royale
Order this off-menu cocktail version of a Framboise Lambic; made with Kronenburg 1664, a pale lager (5.5%), Crème de Cassis, Lemon and Peychaud’s Bitters.
One or the other will pair well with a deep bowl of Moules Frites -classic dish of mussels in white wine, shallots, and garlic; served with Pommes Frites, or, go for the decadent Truffle Pizza, topped with black truffle, egg, and Fontina cheese.
