Puerto Rico Cocktail Week is back November 10 - 16 serving up the BIGGEST Cocktail Festival in the Caribbean! For its 6th Edition, Puerto Rico Cocktail Week (PRCW) will be debuting its new home at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino showcasing a series of special events, educational seminars and exciting international Guest Bar Pop-Ups from around the globe.
Puerto Rico Cocktail Week will kick off on Sunday, November 10, with an opening event at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino. Monday and Tuesday will be dedicated to educational seminars featuring renowned local and international speakers, aligning with our mission to promote Puerto Rican talent and elevate island mixology on the global stage. Among this year’s international speakers are Gabe Orta, Co-Founder of Bar Lab Hospitality and Broken Shaker; Nectaly Mendoza, Founder of Herbs & Rye in Las Vegas and creator of BarMania; Tara Fougner, CEO of Thirsty Magazine; and Lola Thomas from Tales of the Cocktail Foundation.
One of the week’s most notable events is the charity event "BarMania," a bartenders’ competition taking place on Tuesday, November 12, at La Factoría in Old San Juan. The funds raised will go to St. Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Fund and Tip Jar.
The week will continue with a series of special events and will conclude on Saturday, November 16, with a closing celebration at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino. All the events on the agenda are designed to raise funds for Tip Jar, a fund created to provide aid to local hospitality industry members facing unexpected situations that affect their income, as well as to support mental health and professional development through psychological services.
A Commitment to the Community
"We are very excited about the growth Puerto Rico Cocktail Week has seen over the years. Our effort to offer accessible, high-quality education to hospitality industry members has been key to the development and excellence of cocktail bars in Puerto Rico," said Roberto Berdecía, co-owner of La Factoría and co-founder of PRCW.
Extended Celebration with the Official Bars Program
Although most of the events will take place from November 10-16, Puerto Rico Cocktail Week has a program consisting of 63 Official Bars, which hold events and showcase their cocktail menus throughout the year. This program supports the ongoing effort to help grow the local hospitality industry. Additionally, four of these Puerto Rican bars are located in the United States, representing Puerto Rican culture in the diaspora. New Venue
"We are thrilled to host Puerto Rico Cocktail Week at Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino. This event is very important for the local hospitality industry, and we are proud to join forces to ensure the well-being of our employees and support them, alongside PRCW, in continuing education for their professional development," said Roberto Mosquera, general manager of the hotel.
