This week, we are loving the Cannonbaaalllll!!!! at Park Avenue Summer, a seasonal restaurant that totally revamps not only the menus but the decor four times each year, depending on the season. Created by Head Barman Bryan Schneider, the Cannonbaaalllll!!!! – with vodka, watermelon juice, fresh lime juice, habanero juice and 2 sprigs of tarragon – was inspired by the summertime ritual of eating watermelon poolside, and getting splashed by your pals by a surprise cannonball jump in the pool. Yeah, we have all been there.
Cannonbaaalllll!!!! Recipe
- 2 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Watermelon Juice
- .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- .5 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 drops of Habanero Juice
- 2 sprigs of tarragon
In a tall glass, muddle 1 sprig of tarragon in the simple syrup. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir briefly. Add crushed ice to the glass and swizzle with a spoon until the glass is frosty. Garnish with a sprig of tarragon and a ribbon of watermelon rind.
