Cocktail and Oyster Spot Bar Belly Opens On Orchard Street

In case you were missing beloved Lower East Side oyster and cocktail spot Leadbelly, you’re in luck: Bar Belly has opened in the space, bringing with it seasonal drinks, late night snacks – including oysters, natch – as well as live music and DJs.

Located on Orchard Street, Bar Belly has a killer happy hour, along with a solid selection of wine and beer. But please don’t miss out on the cocktails including a Hot Toddy – perfect for these frigid NYC nights – and The Legacy, made with cognac, Cocchi Rose vermouth, amaro, Wolffer Estate Verjus and Bittermans Burlesque bitters.

There is also a riff on the Penicillin featuring whiskey, lemon juice, honey syrup, ginger syrup and a spray of smoky peated whiskey (fancy!) and The Nadeau with tequila, grapefruit, lime and jalapeño for a spicy kick to warm you up.

Beware: Bar Belly is closed on Sundays.
