CHELSEA: Want to drink beer while playing video games? Then head over to the first Manhattan outpost of Barcade, now open in Chelsea. And while the project was delayed for over a year, it comes with a variety of beer including Captain Lawrence Sunblock Wit, Full Sail Extra Special Bitter, Victory Hop Ticket #3, an many more plus tons of classic video games, just like the Williamsburg original. The next NYC location is set to open in the former Mondo Kim’sspace on St. Marks Place. 128 W 24th Street; www.barcadenewyork.com

HERALD SQUARE: A new location of Intelligentsia coffee is now open in the Urban Outfitters store in Herald Square, featuring a long Carrera marble bar, a La Marzocco espresso machine, and a pour-over station, as well as sandwiches and salads to go – a first for the Chicago-based chain of java joints. The newest location – like the High Line Hotel outpost – also carries sweets from Mah-Ze-Dar bakery. 1333 Broadway; www.intelligentsiacoffee.com

UPPER EAST SIDE: Another location of Birch Coffee will be opening up soon in the former Cheese on 62 space. Slated to debut by July 15th, the new location will be housed in a tiny, 250-square feet space and will serve a variety of espresso drinks and cold-brew coffee, as well as pastries from Balthazar and grab-and-go juice from Liquiteria. 134 1/2 East 62nd Street; www.birchcoffee.com

BUSHWICK: Left Hand Path – from Sean Knudeson of The Richardson, DBA and The Narrows – is now open in the ever-growing ‘hood, featuring beer and cocktails on an outdoor patio, as well as soup and sandwiches coming soon. GRAMERCY: There’s a brand new cocktail lounge on sleepy Irving Place, thanks t the team behind Raines Law Room. Inspired by Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, Dear Irving features a cocktail menu curated by Raines’ bartender Meaghan Dorman, with both original cocktails – like the gin and rose Vice Versa and the Whiskey Business with rye and ancho chili liqueur – and variations on the classics. Soon, there will be a food menu, too, which can all be enjoyed on the plush art deco furniture in a 50’s-style room. 55 Irving Place; www.dearirving.com

FiDi: Just in time for the warm weather, there is another new beer garden at South Street Seaport, thanks to the team who operated the nearby Beekman Beer Garden before it was shuttered by Hurricane Sandy-related construction. The new place, called Ambrose Hall, has an indoor hall with TVs, an outdoor bar and a “surf club” perched atop shipping containers that will serve as a pop-up space at Fulton Street plaza. Don’t worry about drinking too much: there are hearty snacks like charcuterie, bratwurst and a lobster roll to soak up the alcohol. 18-19 Fulton St; http://ambrosehall.theluregroup.com/
