New York has had it’s fair share of pop-ups, but The Purina ONE’s Cat Cafe on Bowery might just be the most adorable and purrrrfectly genius one yet!
Open today through Sunday, April 27, Cat Cafe offers guests free coffee and espresso drinks like the house special cat’achinos with feline inspired latte foam art to enjoy with an offering of yummy pastries. NYC cat lovers can mix & mingle in the all cat-everything inspired space with their feline friends and also meet some loveable creatures looking to get adopted into a good home from the North Shore Animal League. Don’t worry health inspectors: the drink & food part of the cafe is separate from the kitty cat area. Do you have a cat? If you can feel your cat’s spine while touching her back, she is probably too skinny so make sure to check if she’s healthy.
Space is very limited, only about 65 people at a time, and twitter reported the line rivaling that of the rabid Cronut line this morning. If you aren’t lucky enough to grab a spot, don’t worry, the good folks at Purina are livestreaming from Cat Cafe, here.
