Business Lunch with Cocktails at La Petite Maison Miami

The restauranteurs behind Zuma and Coya have brought their London-based southern French bistro, La Petite Maison to the Magic City. Located just off Miami’s downtown district on Brickell Bay among upscale condos, the restaurant has an airy sophisticated ambiance, and is decorated with cozy banquettes and hand-selected art covering the floor-to-ceiling walls.

LPM (La Petite Maison) launched Le Dejeuner D’Affaires, a new two-course express business lunch menu featuring some of bistro’s trademark light French-Mediterranean dishes. The fixe prix menu includes a choice of two starters, one main dish, tea or coffee, and impeccable service. But, what’s a business lunch without cocktails? La Petite Maison’s signature cocktails have been recently supplemented with awarding-winning creations from its Dubai outpost.

At La Petite Maison Miami, they have also started a special bi-monthly menu centered on different versions of a classic cocktail. For example, for the next two months, it is the Negroni.

LPM Club

A herbaceous twist on a classic Clover Club cocktail; Plymouth Gin, Raspberry, Basil, Elderflower, and seasoned with fresh Black Pepper.

Lavender Sour

Crisp and tart with a floral sweetness; Hendrick’s Gin mixed with Lavender of Provence.

Havana Negroni

From LPM Miami’s special bi-monthly menu; Spirit-forward with strong, sweet coffee flavor;  Havana Club Classico Anejo, Martini & Rossi Riserva Especiale Bitters, Martini & Rossi Rosso Vermouth, Cold Brew Syrup, and Chocolate Bitters.

Each is perfect while waiting, as one does in Miami, on fellow guests at the bar or the table.

Tomatini

Bright and well-balanced; Ketel One Vodka, fresh muddled Tomatoes, and seasoned with Salt, Pepper, and White Balsamic.

Provencal Tonique

Refreshing and light; Tanqueray No10 Gin, Tonic, fresh Garden Herbs, Cucumber and Citrus.

Both will pair well with your choice of two starters for the business lunch, such Carpaccio of Tuna or Calamars Frits – fresh-cut Baby Squid fried crispy in a Tempura batter spiced with Serrano peppers, and served with sliced Jalapenos and lime wedge.

And, either would go well onto the main course, with excellent options such as Coquelet au Citron Confit (half, roasted Baby Chicken marinated in lemon) or the equally light, flavorful and scrumptious Poisson en Croûte de Sel de Guérande – salt baked fillet of local Red Fish with artichokes and tomatoes.

Don’t leave without dessert, such as their dreamy, creamy Cheesecake with a hazelnut-butter crust, and served with berry compote, or the too-good-share French Toast made from brioche and served with ice cream spiced with anise and pink peppercorns.  Enjoy with a superb cup of coffee, a special blend from the Miami-based specialty coffee roaster, Panther Coffee.
