You know Jacob’s Pickles – the popular Upper West Side brunch spot (so popular you wait forty minutes just to put your name on list).

Well, the team behind the “pickle paradise” opened its second pickle-centric restaurant only one block away in the former Ouest space.

Although pickles are preferred at Maison Pickle, the french dip sandwiches are the star of the show. There is the Classic beef with horseradish aioli, Deluxe – beef with fried onions and gruyere fondue, Royale – beef with Hudson Valley foie gras, Lamb with mint chimichurri and lastly, Cochon – pork with smoked apple compote. And what’s better to accompany these dipping delights than pickles? Daring cocktails.

Choose from 20+ signature cocktails like Maison Punch – Dudognon Select cognac, Elijah Craig bourbon, earl grey tea, red wine and absinthe; American Trilogy – Michter’s Rye, Lairds Apple Brandy and Rich Demarara; and Seasonal Pimms – Pimms liqueur, Sfumato amaro, Rittenhouse Rye, cucumber and ginger beer. Quite a whiskey selection, huh?

Don’t be fooled by the narrow entrance upon arriving – The space is shaped like a “L” where the back wraps right with views of 84th Street. Open-air kitchen, abstract lighting fixtures and long, tufted leather seating fill the room.
