Toast the Kentucky Derby in Style with a $1000 Mint Julep

This year’s Kentucky Derby parties just got turned up a notch: $1000 Woodford Reserve Mint Julep Cup is available for anyone looking to throw a super swanky horsey party. The 2015 edition – designed by Billy Reid and handcrafted at Louisville jeweler From the Vault – pays tribute to the Derby’s iconic history, and will be filled with a delicious concoction made by renowned mixologist (and ThirstyNYC’s favorite) Pam Wiznitzer from NYC’s Seamstress.

“The Derby is an event steeped in heritage and tradition,” says Reid. “I’m honored to have been invited to design something as iconic as the $1,000 Mint Julep Cup for a brand as unparalleled as Woodford Reserve.”

Meanwhile, Wiznitzer’s riff on the classic Derby cocktail pairs perfectly with the stunning cup, available for sale at
