Clinton Hall and Allagash Brewing Company team up for rare beer event

Financial District beer mecca Clinton Hall began a monthly series of rare beer events in January and they continue this month by hosting a night of limited edition Allagash Brewing Company beers on Thursday, March 13. Clinton Hall’s resident beer guru Leland Estes will host along with the esteemed team from Portland, Maine-based Allagash to showcase ten limited beers from the brewery, including 4 barrel-aged beers and 3 Brett beers along with great food.

Beer selections will include: 10.8% Allagash Avance, aged for three years in bourbon oak barrels with strawberries and fermented wildly, making it a strong, sour, tart ale, 8.5% Red Howe Imperial Stout brewed with 3,000lbs of local cranberries – experimental brainchild of an Allagash employee who grew up on cranberry farms with his grandfather, draft-only 10% Bourbon Barrel-Aged James Bean, Allagash’s world-class Tripel Curieux brewed with cold pressed European coffee and the 10.4% Odyssey, a Belgian Quad aged in oak barrels for ten months with Belgian Candy Sugar, along with six more specialty Allagash beers.
