Dia de La Muerte at The Tuck Room

It’s Halloween week in NYC, which is when adults get to trick it up with some boozy treats.  Ghoulish gals and guys looking the perfect blood thirsty cocktail can head over to The Tuck Room for the Dia de La Muerte.

Created by Adam Seger, he says of the drink, “I was adopted and my natural mother is Mexican, so I love to celebrate agave spirits. The hauntingly smokey finish on the Mezcal combined with the intensity of black lime and decadence of blood orange with the volcanic earthiness of the black salt create a visceral experience that will quickly get you into The Halloween mood.”

Dia de la Muerte at The Tuck Room recipe and preparation

  • 2 oz. Infused Pelotón de la Muerte Artisan Mezcal
  • 1 oz. blood orange juice (or .5 oz. Blood Orange Puree)
  • 0.5oz Lime
  • 0.5oz Agave

Infuse 750ml bottle of Mezcal overnight with the zest of 7 limes of 3 crushed black limes.  Shake ingredients and strain into a Black Salt rimmed ice-filled rocks glass.
