This week, we head to The VNYL, where Beverage Director Gareth Howells is having some 1970’s inspired fun with the cocktails. Enter the Diddy Levine, his concoction of Absolut Elyx, Combier Kummel liqueur, chamomile liqueur, white cucumber puree, lemon juice, mint essence and a champagne float.
“If a Tom Collins and West Side f*cked, their love child – who would have been born in France – would be the Diddy Levine,” explains Howells.
Diddy Levine at The VNYL Ingredients
- 1 oz Absolut Elyx
- .5oz Combier Kummel Liqueur
- .25oz Chamomile Liqueur
- 1 oz White Cucumber Puree
- 1.5oz Lemon Juice
- 3 Dash Mint Essence (Can Substitute Mint Bitters)
- Veuve Rich Champagne Float
- Wrapped Cucumber strip garnish
Take the cucumber garnish and gently wrap inside a large wine glass ensuring it sticks to the side. Fill the glass with ice and leave to one side. Take all the ingredients (except the Veuve Rich), and place in a shaker tin. Fill with ice and shake hard until chilled. Double strain into the wine glass then top with the Veuve Rich champagne. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
