Drunken West Villagers Now Able to Get Late Night Eats at Rivoli Pizza

Despite recent speculation that it may not open for some time, the Rivoli Pizza on the corner of Hudson and Christopher is now serving slices to the West Village. And this is good news for anyone drinking in the ‘hood and looking for late night eats, since there aren’t many options. (Listen, we love the Spotted Pig burger, too, but it is still a bit of a production, even at 1 a.m.)

Last Saturday, after a night of drinking, we popped in around 2:30 a.m. for a cheese slice, and the place – which we were told just opened on Friday – was slammed with like-minded (aka inebriated) people looking to soak up the booze. When asked until what time they would be open, the friendly guy behind the counter simply said, “Late.” We’ll take it.

Located across the street from Employees Only and just doors down from the PATH train (Jersey has to eat, too!), and judging by the crowd on their opening weekend, Rivoli Pizza will be a welcome addition to the West Village’s sparse late night food scene.
