BED-STUY There will be lots and lots of drinks at Rub-A-Grub, the annual series of summer food and music parties, returning on May 25 with a Memorial Day party at Do or Dine. The event kicks off with bloody Marys, some appetizers, a beer and a shot and then cocktails and barbeque prepared by Justin Warner. Each round gets its own DJ set, too. HELL’S KITCHEN: Sad news: Grub Street reports that beloved wine bar Kashkaval is closing down later this month after failing to come to an agreement with the landlords. The 16-year old wine and fondue shop even circulated a Change.org petition to try to remain in business but the attempt proved to be futile. On a positive note, its sister restaurant Kashkaval Garden will remain open, right next door.

EAST ELMHURST— On Saturday May 17, East Elmhurst wine store Addictive Boutique Winery will celebrate their expansion with a grand opening event, starting at 6 p.m. The party will feature samples, snacks and live music and will showcase the store’s  expanded space after taking over the adjacent clothing store they also owned. Addictive Boutique Winery features around 400 different brands of global wines, accessories like cooler bags and corkscrews and offers weekly wine tastings. 3262 87th Street, East Elmhurst; 718.899.8666; www.addictiveboutiquewinery.com
