This Saturday, May 3, West Village wine bar Anfora will be getting the Cinco de Mayo celebration started with a beverage class featuring the world’s most unique and misunderstood spirits: tequila and mezcal.
Led by acclaimed bartender Ivy Mix (Fort Defiance, Lana Kai, Clover Club), the tequila and mezcal education – part of Anfora’s ongoing beverage education series – will feature innovative distilleries Tequila Ocho and Pierde Almas Mezcal, and will explore the heritage and tradition of the spirits, as well as the different terroir and age.
Guests will enjoy six types of tequila and mezcal, both neat and in various cocktails, and there will be snacks to soak up the booze.
