Rest assured thirsty spooks. Halloween 2020 isn’t completely canceled. Sure, Covid has us all adjusting our plans but here Los Angeles, there are plenty of outdoor restaurants and takeaway spots serving up hauntingly good liquid treats in a safe and socially distant manner.

From potent potions to spirits with festive fall flavors, check out these BOOzy drinks to enjoy this Halloween weekend in L.A.

Smoke Show at BOA

Mask up and unwind this Halloween at BOA. Frightfully foggy, its seductive Smoke Show cocktail from Boa is made with Wild Turkey Longbranch Bourbon, Grade A maple syrup,  orange and angostura bitters and features applewood smoke billowing up from the glass.

White Widow, Rosemary’s Baby and Devil’s Margarita at Conservatory

The all-outdoor Conservatory West Hollywood is safely getting the spirit all weekend long. Beverage Director Lisa Beaumont and Lead Mixologist Felix Lopez created three specialty cocktails for $17 each. The White Widow is made with Tito’s handmade vodka, Godiva white chocolate liqueur, espresso, cream and garnished with a spider with Twizzler legs. The Rosemary’s Baby features Four Roses bourbon, maple syrup, orange bitters, absinthe and flaming rosemary sprig. The Devil’s Margarita is made with Orendain blanco tequila, lemon, agave and hellfire bitters with a float of Klinker Brick 1800 Cabernet/Old Vine Zinfandel. And Candy Corn and Bloody Brain Jell-O Shots on Halloween only while supplies last. Available for both dinner and weekend brunch service (DJ’s at brunch), reservations (and costumes) are encouraged and all protocols on capacity and safety will be followed.

Cold Blooded Cocktail Kit at 101 N. Eatery & Bar

101 North Eatery & Bar created a new Halloween Cocktail Kit for the month of October.  Available to go, the Cold Blooded cocktail is made with vodka, freshly muddled blackberry, orange blossom, citrus and bubbles and serves eight people. The kit, $50 comes with a 32 oz. Mason Jar, one bottle vodka, six blackberries, a lemon, champagne split and red sugar for rimming.

The Umbrella Hospitality team (Melrose Umbrella Co., Lono Hollywood, Corner Door and Umbrella Taco) is updating Lono’s famed piña with a boozy caramel apple twist for Halloween. Available for $14 all week long via takeaway and delivery, the Caramel Apple Piña Colada is a terrifying tiki-inspired cooler that must be tried.

Smoke on the Water at Mi Piace 

Calling all demons to the Smoke On The Water this Halloween as the eerie enchant and sip on Cocktail Consultant Josh Suchan’s ghoul-like bubbling brew made of Wheatley Vodka, Aperol, St. Germain, along with a devilish rolling aromatic fog and ghostly caldron bubble causing bewitching behavior at Mi Piace. The patio Pasadena restaurant will be open on Halloween Saturday for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m and dinner from 4 p.m. to 11 a.m..

Ms. Addams & La Llorna at Theía

All weekend long, Theía will be decked out in spooky “footsteps in the attic” inspired décor, and the restaurant will have a live DJ every evening. There will also be surprised Halloween treats and signature Halloween-inspired cocktails for the weekend. Theía’s modern Mediterranean fare is accompanied by eye-catching (and VERY Instagrammable) cocktails helmed by Lead Mixologist Sean Leopold. He has developed a menu filled with experiential cocktails, from color-changing to aroma play. Some of the inventive Halloween cocktails include the black Ms. Addams made with Bacardi rum, lychee puree, fresh lime juice, charcoal syrup, peach bitters & tiki bitters and mint and the red La Llorona served over dry ice for a smoke effect with Casamigos tequila, prickly pear, fresh lime juice, agave syrup and saline solution Theía will be hosting guests at socially distanced tables on their chic outdoor patio, as well as offering contact-free takeout.

Blood in Heaven at The Raymond 1886 

Spend the night of the living dead this Halloween at the historically haunted The Raymond 1886 and let Head Barman Jesus Gomez resurrect his bone-chilling Blood in Heaven for any of his thirsty adult trick-or-treaters This frightening mixture is made Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, house-made honey and passion fruit syrups, fresh hand-squeezed lime juice and pineapple juice, with Peychaud’s Bitters. The Blood in Heaven is served as a single cocktail ($14 per person) when Outdoor Patio Dining at The Raymond 1886 or guests (and goblins) can sip and slurp two cocktails ($28 in a 8 ounce Mason Jar) when ordering takeout or delivery this Halloween. The Raymond 1886 will be open on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 for brunch from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and for dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Raymond 1886 will also offer Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Gracias Madre decided to bring the cocktail party home to Angelenos with their Halloween and Day of the Dead-themed Cocktail Party Kit. Halloween Movie Cocktail Kit from Big Bar

Since Big Bar can’t have their annual spooky movie night on the patio, they are bringing the Big Bar experience home to you with their Halloween Movie Cocktail Kits. They designed three awesome take-home experience kits, each with a 16oz cocktail (four servings), candy, popcorn and fun extras to go with three spooky films. The “Sink into the Floor” kit, inspired by “Get Out”  comes with gunpowder green tea infused Los Vecinos Mezcal, lemon Becherovka honey, a souvenir porcelain teacup and mini teacup, gummy brains, Rod’s TSA badge and popcorn.
